Karen Pitsley, AIA, CAPS
Karen Pitsley, AIA, CAPS is principal architect of Residential Reflections Architects, LLC. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the School of Architecture, University of Maryland College Park, Ms. Pitsley joined the firm of GMA&D as a Project Designer. Projects during her three-year tenure included recreational master plans and design, commercial design, tenant fit-out and custom home design. As a designer and then a Project Architect for George C. Harne, Architect, her portfolio included a wide variety of commercial and industrial work, as well as custom residential work. She earned her registration as a professional architect in 2001. In 2003, Ms. Pitsley and Kate McCullough, AIA opened Symmetry First Architects, LLC. Because of her love of residential architecture and desire to work only in this venue, this year she decided to leave Symmetry First and start Residential Reflections Architects, LLC. Ms. Pitsley has over ten years experience helping clients design their dream homes, whether it be a new custom home or a renovation and addition to their existing house.
Ms. Pitsley earned her CAPS (Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist) designation in 2005. This specialty enhances her ability to incorporate design elements which allow people stay in their current home safely, independently, and comfortably or design new homes in which people are able to spend the rest of their years.
Ms. Pitsley lives in Savage, Maryland with her husband and two boys.
Monika Maier
Monika Maier is a project designer at Residential Reflections Architects. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the School of Architecture, University of Maryland College Park and has over eight years experience.
Ms. Maier lives in Rockville with her husband and two boys.
Jeanne Green
Jeanne Green is the office manager of Residential Reflections Architects, LLC. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from the State University College at Oneonta, NY and a Masters in Education from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs. Green has provided administrative and marketing services in architectural offices for over 25 years.
Mrs. Green and her husband live in Columbia, Maryland. They are the parents of two grown boys and a daughter who is attending Salisbury University.
